As I mentioned earlier, I had some Sportsplex Photos in the News. For the assignment, I submitted four more photos that did not make the cut.
I liked this first shot a olt. It is a bit too artsy and dark, I think, for the paper. I had my light on a stand to camera left, but it was hard to get the light to hit the right spot. The space was long and narrow, not leaving me a good place to put my light and keep it out of sight.
This photo has the same setup as above, but looks a bit too pased for the paper’s style. With the dark light, it was a bit too grainy at the high ISO.
The color did not come out in this one, but it was meant to catch some of the new equipment. They shoudl have had a bit more fun with their choice of walll colors. I had my light shooting through an umbrella at camera left oppsoite the jogger. Oops, though, I forgot to get the woman’s name for the caption. The first three rules for captions are: Names, names and names. My bad. Don’t go to two assignment in a row at lunchtime without a snack!
This might be my second favorite shot form the shoot. I jsut wish I had hid the man with my light and had a faster lens.

All in all, it could have been worse!
